Introducing: LOST WOLF

Our new 5.2% American-Style Brown Ale

We love a collaboration brew day so back in October we invited our pals, Wicklow Wolf’s John and Harry, over from Ireland to join us as we brewed an absolute classic of a beer together. Introducing Lost Wolf, our 5.2% American-style Brown Ale, inspired by one of the original craft beer styles to hit the shelves in the 80’s and 90’s.

Born from the US Craft Beer Movement, American Brown Ales were influenced by their English counterparts, but the addition of New World hops brought bolder flavours to this style. Our rendition is no exception as we’ve used Magnum, Chinook, Centennial, Willamette and Mosaic hops to dial up the piney, resinous and citrus flavours of our beer. Add in there a blend of  Pils, Munich, Biscuit, Cara and Roast malts for an American-style Brown Ale that is balanced and full of character.

“What else would a Hippo and a Wolf brew together?!”

The beer’s artwork and can design was inspired by the retro ‘wolves howling at the moon’ motif that defined an era, and in true Lost and Grounded style we gave it a twist featuring our iconic hippo mascot. This is our homage to the music and fashion of the 1990’s!

Lost Wolf, 5.2% American-style Brown Ale is available now from our webstore in 440ml cans, pouring at the taproom or heading to a pub/bar/bottle shop near you.
